Katarryna (Catherine) Balmas, our maternal grandmother, arrived in New York city on July 23 1912 on the S.S. Zeeland which sailed from the port of Antwerp, Blegium on July 13, 1912. You can see the microfilm scans (first and second pages - go to line #11 on both pages) of the relevant pages of the ship's logbook that list Katarryna's name and information. More below. |

She is listed as being 5'2". blond hair and blue eyes and was to go to a cousin, Katarryna Kaminska in Niagara Falls, NY. |
