July 17
Today we only did one dive, in the morning, at the Cha Cha Cha Beach site. We were underwater for about 80 minutes and were treated to a school of very attentive squid
Above left: A Pufferfish under some coral and using it as a cleaning station. See the two small black and yellow Goby fish near its right eye. Left: A Sanddiver sunning herself on some coral.
After lunch we drove to the Sorobon to take some photos of the windsufers and hopefully photograph shore birds who flock when the fishing boats come in. We saw the surfers but didn't do the timing right for the fishing boats. We then drove around the eastern and southern shores and were impressed by the great progress in cleaning up the awful mess of debris, much of it plastic, that has washed up over the years. All that is gone and thanks to the Dive Friends shop that organized all this. And then a visit to Joe's Pasa Bon Pizza.
