July 14
Parrots have been alighting on the trees south of our apartment and in view of our balcony.
Our morning dive was at Te Amo beach, across the small road from the airport and less than a mile north of the Bellafonte. Left: Linda likes to dive with a hood and decided, before this trip, to get one that resembles a French Angelfish. Right: A sea anemone.
Left: Squid. We have been seeing more squid on this dive so far than we have seen on previous trips. Right: A parrotfish
Left: Trunkfish and Right: Tangs
Left: A sand dive about ready to take off. Right: Pufferfish
The afternoon dive (#3 of this trip) was at the Something Special site north of Kralendijk. The current was a bit strong and heading north and visibility was not all that great. But we stayed above 30 feet and managed to get some good photos. Above left: hawksbill turtle and above right: a group of mahogany snappers.
Left: Pufferfish Right: Some brain coral on a mooring block near the shore. You can see boats floating on the surface.
