Our morning dive was at the Yellow Submarine and the afternoon dive took place in front of the Bellafonte. The visibility during the afternoon dive was poor so all the photos here are from the morning dive. We stayed above 25 feet or so and had encounters with a Tarpon, who kept coming back, a Squis, a young Burrfish, a Permit and a Juvenile French Angelfish.
In the photo to the right, the Tarpon was (obviously) heading straight towards me. In the somewhat artsy rendition of a photo below that, the small fish attached to the tarpon is a Remora (suckerfish). I just learned from reading that the Tarpon do not have teeth. The young Burrfish is cute. Later in the dive Linda saw him all puffed up - something agitated him.
The next two photos show a Squid and a Permit
The bottom left photo shows a brain superposed on a close-up of the same brain coral.
The bottom right photo is that of a Juvenile Angelfish, about 4 inches or so across.
