House and Pets: Linda and Alex live in Greene Co., Indiana with their two ponies (Toby and Prince), a Doberman (Parker), cat (Hazel) and saltwater reef tank. We moved into our house with 18 acres in 1987 and over the years we personally built three barns (for implements, hay and horses), a small garage, a 36' x 24' woodworking shop, wood shed, pool house, breezeway and decks around our pool.
Family: Alex and Allison live in Honolulu, HI, Bob lives in Denver, CO, Carolyn and Kris in Middletown, CT and Chris lives in Bloomington. More family photos can be found here and some genealogy here. Linda owns and operates Dzierba Real Estate Services in Bloomington. Chris, a student at Indiana U, is also a broker and works for Linda. Alex is Indiana U Professor of Physics Emeritus and consults for the U.S. Navy on energy issues.
Alex joined the Indiana University faculty in 1973 where he did research (described here) and taught courses (described here). Alex's curriculum vita can be found here. Alex is an avid photographer - examples can be found here. Linda and Alex are also avid scuba divers and do underwater photography (Alex) and videography (Linda).

Earlier trips
Bonaire is an island located 65 miles north of Venezuela and is part of the ABC islands, the other two being Aruba and Curacao. Bonaire is now a municipality of the Netherlands and rightly calls itself Divers' Paradise. We made our first trip to Bonaire in December 2006 and in January 2013 we made our 15th trip to the island. Above you will find links to photos, videos and journals from our previous trips. The InfoBonaire site is a nice introduction to the island.

Photo Books
Linda put together our first Photo Book on our diving, It's All About the Water, in December 2007. Alex produced Bonaire Adventures in February 2011 and Birds, Bugs and More Birds in October 2012 which has a chapter on the birds of Bonaire. All three are published by blurb.com. Since putting together the above photo book on birds in October 2012, I continued taking photos of backyard visitors, including species not included in the book. You can view some of these additional photos here.
My mother passed away on April 27, 2013. She was buried next to her nusband, my father, on May 4, 2013 in Cheektowaga, NY - not far from the home where my mother and father raised me, my brother Tim and sister Sharon.

The wedding of our parents took place on June 22, 1940 in Buffalo, NY
